Salt Creek Beach

Salt Creek is a popular surfing location. A small, offshore reef creates some of the best-left swells along the entire shoreline. Swimming, body surfing, sunbathing and tidepools exploration are other beach activities. Amenities: Beach Access Access road takes you to the beach area and Bluff Park. The access road is for county personnel, lifeguards and emergency vehicles only. The handicapped may be driven to the bottom of the road if they have a handicap placard affixed to the windshield or a license plate with the handicap logo. The road is not to be utilized for transporting belongings to the beach or park. Loading/unloading is prohibited on this access road. Family Picnic Area Bluff Park at Salt Creek Beach is a day use area only. The park has picnic tables, barbeques and a basketball court (half court). The restrooms are located near the snack bar, which is below the park. Picnicking and potluck style events are welcome. Catered events such as wedding ceremonies and receptions are not allowed in the park area. Alcohol is prohibited. Driving down the access road to load/unload your belongings is also prohibited. Dogs are allowed in the park on a leash. The park is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Parking is $1.00 an hour. The handicap may be transported down the access road to the park as long as a handicap placard is affixed to the windshield. This is only granted if a placard is visible. Fishing Food Concession The concession stand is located at the bottom of the access road near the restrooms. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The concession stand is open on holidays and weekends depending on the weather. Open in the summer months. Boogie board, chair/umbrellas rentals available. Private Party Area The North Shore private party area at Salt Creek Beach is located north of the snack bar. Wedding/receptions and private parties are available for rental depending on availability. South Coastal Operations does not book the weekends during the summer months for events, only Monday through Friday. This begins Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day weekend. Only one event during the week. South Coastal Operations begins booking a year to the date. Alcohol is allowed with a licensed bartender on premises, catering allowed. Please call South Coastal Operations at (949) 923-2280 for additional information. Restrooms Salt Creek Beach has four restrooms for public access. There is a restroom located in the parking lot of Salt Creek Beach, one near the snack bar, one north of the snack bar near the private party area and one located to the south of the snack bar past the main lifeguard tower. All restrooms are handicap accessible. Showers Showers are available near the snack bar and at the North Shore event area. Surfing Very popular surfing and boogie boarding location!Swimming Tables Tables are available in Bluff Park on a first come first serve basis.
